11. Embrace Hybrid Work

So many of us are still sifting and sorting out the optimal way to work and the future of work after COVID-19
protocols ended. We have learned that we can trust people to work from home, and plenty of tools enable productivity and connection. At the same time, there is great value to physical presence and sharing
office time. TEAMS, Zoom, and Hangouts are great, but there is a different dynamic when we sit together with stacks of Post-It notes and dedicated time for planning, organizing, and executing. Teammates should discuss and debate the best configuration and approach to their specific work and responsibilities. Owners and
executives can only understand the balance that best fits their objectives and workforce by exploring the options and engaging in dialogue. It is loving to care about the team’s whole existence so members can feel supported as workers, parents, individuals, and friends with dynamic lives and competing priorities to balance.
